Development to Delegation Cycle

Leaders must be flexible in their approach and know when to apply leadership skills with intentionality to obtain the maximum growth and effectiveness of individual employees and, by extension, the organization.

In this course, participants will understand and utilize the model of the Development to Delegation Cycle and its Leadership Behaviors (Direction and Dialogue). They will then take this knowledge and apply the correct behavior to match the four different Task Levels of the employee at a given point in their professional development.

Introduction of Development to Delegate Cycle

In this session, we will define the Development to Delegate Cycle and the Task Levels attributed to various points in an employee’s stage in professional development. We will then examine the Leadership Behaviors and how to match each to the team member’s needs.

Task Levels by determining Skill and Will

April 25, 2024
In this session, we will discuss and understand the four Task Levels of your team by determining “Skill and Will.” We will also examine how to resolve a disagreement about Task Levels.

Adjusting your Leadership Behavior

May 2, 2024
In this session, we will dive into the four different Leadership Behaviors and how they relate to the Task Levels of employees. We will analyze the Direction Leadership Behavior and Dialogue Leadership Behavior and determine when to apply each.
