Psychological Safety

Psychological safely is the belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns or mistakes. Studies show that when your team is high in psychological safety, they are more engaged, more creative and flourish in their organization. This course will explore the behaviors and skills needed to promote psychological safety in your workplace and develop a culture of knowledge and innovation.

In this session, we will define psychological safety and how it can impact an organization overall. Participants will explore what a psychologically safe team should look like and reasons why psychological safety does not exist in a situation.

Behaviors that Destroy Psychological Safety

A workplace with a lack of psychological safety does not allow people to take risks in thoughts, ideas and problem solving. This session will explore the behaviors that destroy psychological safety in our workplace. We will examine how improper cultures in organizations affect psychological safety.

Behaviors That Build Psychological Safety

A psychologically safe team exhibits a higher level of engagement and increased motivation to tackle challenging issues. Psychological safety creates more learning and development opportunities and better team performance. This session focuses on the behaviors that build psychological safety. We will learn the skills that make our team feel more psychologically safe.
