LEAP, which stands for Leadership with Empathy, Awareness, and Purpose, is a one-day, in-person emotional-intelligence workshop for leaders who want to strengthen how they communicate, influence, build trust, and navigate change. The workshop will take place Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Leadership Edge Live team is donating its time and expertise, allowing 100% of program profits to support March of Dimes and its work for healthier moms and stronger babies.

Leadership with Empathy, Awareness, and Purpose

Emotional intelligence shapes how leaders respond under pressure, build relationships, make decisions, and create the environment around their teams. LEAP 2026 turns those ideas into practical behaviors participants can apply in real workplace situations.

The experience is organized around the emotional-intelligence capabilities leaders rely on most: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills, and communication.

Participants will examine their leadership triggers and blind spots, practice responding more intentionally, and develop personal commitments for continuing their growth.

Rather than a multi-month cohort, LEAP 2026 combines one focused in-person day with structured follow-up designed to help the learning last.

What the LEAP 2026 Experience Includes

The in-person workshop begins with breakfast and networking at 8:00 a.m. The facilitated program runs from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., with an optional networking mixer afterward from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

The day includes sessions covering:

  • The foundations of emotional intelligence
  • Self-awareness and self-regulation
  • Composure and leadership presence under pressure
  • Motivation, empathy, and accountability
  • Social skills, communication, and conflict
  • Trust, influence, and workplace culture
  • An introduction to the EQ 360 assessment
  • Personal leadership commitments and next steps

Workshop materials, an EQ 360 assessment and debrief, and two virtual reinforcement sessions are included with registration.

The reinforcement sessions will take place on:

  • October 14, 2026: Applying Emotional Intelligence in Real Leadership Situations
  • December 2, 2026: Sustaining Influence, Trust, and Leadership Growth

Each session is virtual and 90 minutes long. Together, they help participants apply what they learned, discuss real leadership situations, and sustain behavioral change after the workshop.
