Change management training for leaders teaches you to guide a team through change without losing people or momentum, using established models like ADKAR and Lewin’s three-stage model alongside an eight-step process for driving a change through. Leadership Edge Live runs it as a four-week live virtual course that also covers the eight common pitfalls that cause change efforts to stall, so leaders can spot and avoid them early.
ADKAR is a change model that maps the five things a person needs to move through a change: Awareness of why it is needed, Desire to support it, Knowledge of how to change, Ability to apply new skills, and Reinforcement to make it stick. This course teaches ADKAR alongside Lewin’s model so leaders can diagnose exactly where a person or team is getting stuck, rather than pushing the whole group at the same pace.
You lead through resistance by understanding that people resist change for predictable reasons and addressing those reasons directly, rather than mistaking resistance for defiance. The course covers the three Cs of leading change and the common hurdles that create pushback, giving managers a way to keep communication open and momentum steady when a team is anxious about what a change means for them.
Most change initiatives fail because of a small set of avoidable pitfalls, such as declaring victory too early, failing to build a real case for change, or under-communicating the vision. This course is built around the eight common pitfalls of leading change, so leaders learn to recognize each one before it derails the effort, which is far cheaper than rescuing a change that has already lost the team.
This course suits people with some leadership experience, or those moving into a leadership role in the next 6 to 12 months, who will actually be responsible for guiding a change. It is delivered live online across four weekly sessions rather than as self-paced video, so participants work through the ADKAR and Lewin models against a real change their organization is facing, and teams can start with a free trial session.
