Course Overview

Successful leaders must adapt to the changing environment in which they lead. Adaptive leaders move from one leadership style to another depending on the task, project, and people involved. Participants will explore the various leadership styles and learn how to match their leadership style to the needs of the people they lead. The course will dive into the four major personality styles to help leaders understand what is needed to effectively lead their team members. In this course, we will examine the use of effective communication styles from a leadership perspective to match each individual personality style of the team members within the organization.

Who is the course for?

This course is for leaders who want to understand the different leadership styles and their implications on team members and the organization. Leaders who are interested in learning how to be adaptive by utilizing leadership and personality style knowledge to achieve collaboration and teamwork within the organization would benefit from this course.

Learning Path

In this session, we will introduce the four primary styles of leadership and learn how to identify each. Leaders will understand how to recognize their primary leadership style and adapt it to become a versatile leader.

There are four major personality styles that impact interaction among employees within the workplace. We will explore our own primary personality style and learn to identify other people’s personality styles in order to adapt as leaders to the needs of various team members.

Effective Communication is an essential part of being an adaptive leader. In this session we will discuss various methods of communication from a leadership perspective. We will determine how to ask the right questions, give proper feedback, frame messages, and handle problems as they arise. We will also explore how to properly utilize one-on-one communication.
