Course Overview

In the challenging corporate world, conflicts are common and frequent. These conflicts, such as differences of opinion, not living up to expectations, denial, and lack of cooperation can lead to serious consequences for a leader. This course is designed to help leaders understand their role in conflict situations, and how to adapt to the situation to achieve better outcomes. Participants will learn conflict management skills including practical communication techniques, effective listening skills and approaches to avoid escalating problems.

Session 1 - What Is Conflict?

In this session, we will define the key principles around conflict management, identify the relationship between the chain of dialogue and conflict, and closely examine a guide to styles of handling conflict.

Session 2 - Conflict Dialogue

Leaders feel more empowered when they can handle difficult conversations and conflict situations. In this session, participants will recognize and understand the two types of conflicts, the psychological safety principle, and effective communication methods that help teams to have productive dialogues.
